Still messing around with Chapter 2

I have plotted the chapter and now must decide if I bring in the two new characters (albeit very small roles) - one to travel with Richard and the aunt/governess with Susan. Rawlings has Logan. I also have experimented with the sex scene and decided to show Elizabeth thoughts and less explicit graphics. She will turn her head but constantly return to watching.

naughty gayle.

Chapter 3 is all about America and our lovebirds, whoever they are hooked up with.

but for now I shall complete chapter 2 called dinners.

Chapter 2 -begun

Ok, I tested the waters with my Wretched Beginning Turning Point (WB&TP) post yesterday. I have to do a sex scene in Chapter 2 and so I tried my hand with yesterday's post. I gave a very explicit detail of teenagers first attempt. Teens are so intent on the "act" that they forget to talk. The guys have not mastered that art until years of practice are under their belt - so to speak. And beside they don't need the words, girls do. But in my example yesterday, I imagine Eliza was shocked by her own reactions that she did not know what to say. Thomas was a gentleman and at least asked permission as he moved further.

I have decided it was too much detail for the readers so back to the drawing board for my sequel to Exp. Now some liked it but the silence casts a vote as well. It could be that the readers did not like what I did with Thomas Bennet. *shrugs*

I will have one graphic sex scene in the story but it will come later. In fact there really are only three sex scenes total. I will experiment a little more. I need to write a true love scene where passion and love come together.

well, off to do other things as I think about what must be done. lol

Chapter 1 off to my beta

I finished my final draft and sent it off. I have spent some time researching the next chapter and writing for Wretched Beginnings and Turning Points. I tried to do Wickham's Teen years but got stalled, so I pulled up Lady Lucas' stuff and and have been focus on flushing out the thoughts. It is a good story - a beginning, middle and end but I have to add some tension in it. So it is not ready for posting yet.

Well, off to watch some TV - till next time.

typing and writing

ok - today I have begun to revisit chapter 1 and the words are flying - good descriptive words to enhance the dialogue. And yes, I will keep the chapter in the "advice" mode. It is fun and brings out a few items of suspense and tension. lol

off to write some more.

Ideas are perculating again

Ok. I posted a short story I did on AHA Wretched Beginnings and Turning Points. I won a contest with the first part and added the second part later. The purpose was to push me to return to writing. I think it worked. Last night my mind returned to the sequel of Expectations and I am getting itchy to put my thoughts down on paper.

I may rewrite the first chapter when I am finished. I have done so for Expectations. Right now the first chapter is called Advice. All the travelers get advice from their friends and family before they head off to the new world. It seems Ok but then so did Chapter 1 of Expectations. I threw away all but two paragraphs of that chapter.

I have also caught up with my beta stuff. I will be calling everyone this week to see if they want to act in the play. In fact all my time will be sent calling, calling, calling. Once the play is on track I can return to my wonderful days of writing.

It is snowing here! Damn it is April. I assume my plants are dead now. It's April!

well off to make some calls.

still blocked - my muse has left me

I have spent the week just staring at the keyboard. I think my problem stems from the stress I am under with the Theater Group. so much has to be done - cast has to be found, production director, etc. That I cannot begin anything until we are settled on the play.

I did meet with the clubhouse manager and we did come to some conclusions for the "dinner" portion of the dinner play. What a mess. We will have four performance and each performance will have a different type of "meal." I don't know if this will go over with the members. I am losing sleep - where the hell is Rawlings. Come here baby and give me some of that advice you possess. What do I do?

Also I am setting up a Theater Workshop - a fun activity for one day in July. We will start with a one-act play, then break down all the roles for the play - the director and what he does, the actors, the makeup artist, the sound and lighting, etc. we will have snacks and then we will try to put together a different one-act play (s). The whole point is to bring in new people to the group - -people that want to pitch in and not just pay a $5 fee.

My mind is blocked until the play is moving forward. Today I did type up a lot of good dialogue from some excellent miniseries - I do this to get in the mood and get in the frame of mind of regency speak. By typing it sticks with me better.

well, off to stare at the keyboard a little while before I head for bed. lol

blocked blocked blocked

today I will try to unblock my thoughts. I started to re-read later chapters of Expectations and thought Yuck - did I write that drivel? Just my mood I guess.

I am going to skip chapter 1 and try chapter 2 - although most of chapter 1 is drafted out. perhaps I can return to it after I have finished a few chapters.

And in Chapter 2 I create a new character - not a leading character but just a new one. I like to experiment with personalities. I need to find a name that fits.

Next week, I have nothing on my schedule so I will spend all my time writing. I will crank up the oxygen and move the coffee pot to my big desk in my bedroom and write away.

back to the drawing board. or maybe I will write that smoking hot sex scene. lol
